My January writing for the most part was consistent, but with taking on a new job, a new role, February has soaked up every ounce of spare time that has left me mentally drained and physically exhausted.
When I see a quotation like this it encourages me to find time in those busy days, and to be satisfied with minutes instead of searching for hours that simply aren't there.
I've heard so many "aspiring" writers say, "If you're thinking about your writing, that counts as writing." It might help the actual writing when the time comes but sooner or later that time has to come. Words have to be written, sentences formed, scenes concluded.
Writing is the only thing that counts as writing, so somehow we have to find a way no matter what. Even if it's only a little bit, it's still a little bit more than yesterday.
